On March 2nd, the New Jersey Muslim Voice for Progress (NJMVP<\/a>) took a significant step towards fostering a culture of active citizenship and leadership among the youth by conducting a Youth Civic Engagement Initiative workshop. This event, held at Rutgers as part of MIST New Jersey 2024<\/a>, was not just a workshop but an inspiration for young minds eager to make a tangible difference in their communities. It was part of a larger weekend event that saw participation from 50 high schools, engaging over 600 students in about 50 competitions showcasing the diverse talents and passions of the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day was charged with anticipation as students from various backgrounds gathered, all united by a common goal: to learn how they could contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
